Know by Heart Game Review

“Know through Heart …”” It is a game that teaches you to be able to take loss. The narrative, the music, the intuitive gameplay and dramatic mini-games all work together to create an impression that one is able to relive childhood before eventually growing, the feeling of passing time.

Players will be immersed into the tranquil life in a typical provincial Russian town, in which traces and echoes of the Soviet times can still be observed and heard.

Misha is the central character. Misha is stuck in a boring job that is never ending. But, on a particular day, he’s surprised by the news that his school crush comes back to the town. The first time in a long time Misha regains hope of escaping the ennui of his daily routine. The tale of an old group of childhood friends joining forces is weaved into an unsettling, yet brief event in the town’s day-to-day existence. They have to travel through memories streets to revive their bond. However, their memories from the past and the bonds that are a part of them, are a danger.

Ayrat Zakirov Ice-Pick Lodge’s CEO, runs this nostalgic endeavor. The story of the game will be played out within the Russian province. After many years of absence, Misha is set to be reunited with his friends from his youth. As they reunite, they’ll revisit their familiar memories, discover some common ground and reconnect the bonds of friendship. Alas, this joyous reunion will soon be ruined by something beyond their control.
